An exceptional member of their community since 1946, Commercial Service of Bloomington has supported Habitat for Humanity for over 20 years in the Bloomington, Indiana area. They especially enjoy partnering with The Women Build in the spring. Commercial Service has installed Trane heating systems in nearly 150 homes. Along with providing and installing heating systems to this cause, they, along with other local businesses, sponsor breakfasts and lunches for the workers to keep everyone fed and hydrated as they come together each spring to make homes for families a reality.
The Habitat for Humanity of Monroe County Women Build, held in May 2019, marked the 19th year of bringing women together to fundraise and build homes for two deserving families in need of simple, decent, affordable housing in the county. Funds raised also support their global partners in Uganda and El Salvador. All women who fundraise above the $250 minimum are welcome to participate as a builder for a day with no prior building experience necessary—Women Build trains them on site, and Commercial Service is happy to deliver and install the needed Trane heating systems on site as well.
When it comes to building partnerships and relationships, Commercial Service stands out as a leader in in the industry, and have been voted as one of the “Best Places to Work.” Charlie Laughlin, VP Residential says, “You know, there are two very important parts of our business: they are our customers and our employees. We wouldn’t be anywhere without either of them.” When asked about their relationship with Trane, Charlie said, “We’ve had a great relationship with Trane since day one—literally for over 50 years. We believe in the product and are happy with the support we receive.”
Likewise, Trane Midwest is extremely proud to partner with Commercial Service of Bloomington. Quality and good outcomes are what it’s all about: quality people, quality product, best business practices, and benevolence towards others. These qualities are the hallmark of Commercial Service of Bloomington.
