Nexia™ Update: Sensor Display Available Soon for Homeowners

What is the new functionality?

Homeowners will be able to view associated ZSENS930 temperature and humidity sensors in their Nexia app and on the portal site in the same area as they view the details about their thermostat.

This allows our homeowners (and their dealers) to view sensor data, including:

  • Temperature
  • Humidity
  • Online/offline status
  • Battery level

Value of sensors

These sensors allow the homeowner to control their temperature more accurately by solving hot or cold spot issues. Sensors measure the temperature in an area they are living in (rather than in the hallway where the thermostat is wired) and average the temperature of the home to fit their comfort needs.

Timing

This feature will go live for our customers in March.

We will be releasing a more comprehensive temperature-sensing feature called Room IQ in the near future. Watch for more details!
