During the 75th International Builders’ Show, February 19–21 in Las Vegas, Nevada, the Ingersoll Rand Residential HVAC portfolio of products came together to showcase how we can meet every homebuilder’s needs. About 100,000 attendees registered for this year’s show, offering outstanding exposure for the company’s brands.
In addition to viewing the products lineup, booth visitors also heard from a renowned building science expert, tested their HVAC know-how with a virtual reality experience, and learned more about our commitment to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
The 50’ x 50’ booth design, graphics, and interactive videos—which were created in-house by the Marketing Communications team in Tyler, Texas—brought together the Trane, American Standard, Ameristar, and Nexia brands under the theme, “Comfort Solutions for Every Home.” The Ingersoll Rand team exhibited three levels of systems that fulfill comfort needs while also meeting homeowner and budget expectations:
- Premium Comfort Solutions: Highest level of performance, energy savings, and comfort
- Advantage Comfort Solutions: Mid-grade choice for simple and innovative builder system solutions
- Standard Comfort Solutions: Systems that fit comfortably within tighter budgets
Additional sections of the booth highlighted our lineup of indoor air quality products, as well as the ductless systems from our partnership with Mitsubishi. Among the products that were viewed by booth visitors were: XV19 Low Profile Variable Speed Heat Pump, XR16 Single Stage Low Profile Side Discharge AC, S8X2 Furnace, TAM9 Air Handler, the lineup of Nexia connected and non-connected controls, and a full range of indoor air quality products that included the EnviroWise 70V and CleanEffects units.
Building Science Expert Speaks
Show participants received insights on how to navigate the energy and climate envelope in new home construction during a talk given in our booth by Joseph Lstiburek, founding principal of the Building Science Corporation. The 45-minute presentation, made possible through a partnership with Mitsubishi Electric and Greenfiber, addressed high-performance building practices and the challenges faced by builders.
Dr. Lstiburek’s work ranges widely, from providing expert witness testimony to overseeing research and development projects, to writing for the ASHRAE Journal and buildingscience.com. Dr. Lstiburek’s commitment to advancing the building industry has had a lasting impact on building codes and practices throughout the world, particularly in the areas of air barriers, vapor barriers, and vented and unvented roof assemblies.
Supporting St. Jude
Plus, we highlighted our commitment to one of our favorite charitable beneficiaries, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Trane has served as one of four national sponsors for the St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway program since 2014. Dream Home sponsors, builders, and donors give their time and products to build homes and sell tickets for the opportunity to win the home. In all, Trane has donated more than $1.28 million in equipment and installation for the homes.
