Google Home Experience Update

For those Nexia users who don’t know: Nexia integrates with both Google Home and Alexa! We recently updated the Google Home experience to allow for a more natural voice experience.

So, what’s changed?

With the new Google experience, instead of saying, “Hey Google, tell Nexia to set the thermostat to 70 degrees,” users can simply say, “Hey Google, set the thermostat to 70 degrees.”

The new Google experience supports thermostats, lighting, switches/outlets, and dimmers. Although Google Home does not currently support other devices such as locks, cameras, shades, blinds, garage doors…have no fear! We will continue to optimize the experience with Google as new devices and actions become available.
